JOHN CULL (Heritage, Public Libraries)

John has a Masters degree in Library Science (MLS) from the University of BC,is employed as Public Service Manager for the Newspapers and Magazines and Special Collections Divisions of Vancouver Public Library (VPL). He has had a leading role in development of Music and Film collections at VPL, and in presentation of free cultural events.

ROBERT EBERLE (Theatre, Education, Technical)

An Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre, Film and Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia Bob Eberle specializes in theatre management and production.

JULIE FOWLER (Heritage, Rural BC, Festivals, Self-Employed)

Julie Fowler has a BFA in Art History from Concordia University in Montreal and is currently Artistic Director/Curator for the Island Mountain Arts Society & The Artswells Festival based in Wells, B.C.

EILEEN HOETER (Film Sector, Independent Professionals, Education & Careers)

Eileen Hoeter has her MFA in Film Production from UBC, and has been directing and producing since l983. Eileen is President of Women in Film International

CLIFF JONES (Music, Management and Promotion)

Currently Director of Public Relations for The Arts Institute of Vancouver, his career has been built on a foundation of music management, publishing and consulting since 1969.

ELLIE O’DAY (Sector Advocacy, Broadcasting, Music Management; Promotion)

With more than 25 years work in music, the arts and cultural industries, non-profit administration and broadcasting, Ellie O'Day applies her experience to organizations' and artists' development, specializing in publicity and media relations.

JUDI PIGGOTT (Career Awareness, Business & the Arts, Self-Employment)

Judi has been involved in the development of a sectoral approach to human resources in arts and culture for many years, at the Alliance for Arts and Culture She is currently doing capacity-building work with nonprofit organizations and, as part of the ARTS Co-Op , developing a large co-location project for artists and cultural enterprises in the Cedar Cottage area of Vancouver

CINDY VALLANCE (Arts Management and Education, Artist-Run Centres, Vancouver Island Region)

Cindy Vallance completed a BFA at ECIAD in 1999 following eight years as a Human Resources specialist in the private sector. She is the Manager, Centre for Public Sector Studies, School of Public Administration, at the University of Victoria.

FEMKE VAN DELFT (Performance Art, Visual Art, Labour and Self-Employment)

A professional artist whose commercial wedding photography work supports her installations and performance art. President of the Board of CAR/FAC BC Chapter.

JULIE VANDERYAGT (Youth, Music, Management and Education)

As an educator in the Arts and Entertainment industry, Julie has a life-long concern and regard for the future of the cultural sector. Currently she is the Manager of the theatre at Capilano College, and fills a faculty position with the Arts and Entertainment Management program at the College.

FREYDIS JANE WELLAND (New Media and Technology, Communications, Literary)

Freydis was a founding director and vice-chair of New Media BC and a co-founder of the BC TEL New Media and Broadcast Fund, among many other leadership roles.

DAWN WHITWORTH (Visual Arts, Career Information, Education)

Career and Coop Program Coordinator, Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, B.A. (Hon), B.F.A (Hon), University of Northumbria
