In a challenging environment, artists and other creative people are looking for effective ways to join forces to get things done, to find ongoing professional support and to build sustainable access to resources (housing, workspace, training, administration, revenue, materials, markets).

The BC Cultural Sector Development Council along with the BC Cooperative Association and other cultural sector partners invite you to bring your questions and ideas to an evening of exploration: how does the co-operative organizational form meet the needs of artists today?

Interactive Information Session Includes:

• An overview of key information you need to know about the co-op model and its diverse applications.
• A panel of existing and developing local arts sector co-operatives to share their experience.
  • 901 Artists Cooperative, Creative Women Craftworks, The Wood Co-op, and others.
• Resources that are available to get you started.
