The Council’s priorities are to focus on those things which will build long-term creative and economic sustainability for individuals and cultural organizations and industries in B.C. by working with existing networks, resources and services. Where gaps in these are identified, we will work to provide the key information and convene the stakeholders so that effective solutions can be created.

Researching, convening, coordinating, linking, with a focus on capacity enhancement and sustainability will be the primary activities of the Council. These intra- and extra-sectoral activities will facilitate the sector's efforts to advocate effectively on its own behalf.
